|Flora-Bama ready for 29th Polar Bear Dip|
December 31, 2013 - Orange Beach, AL (OBA)– The iconic Flora-Bama roadhouse is having it’s 29th Annual Polar Bear Dip on New Year’s Day at high noon. People of all ages join the Flora-Bama Lounge & Package for this free event. Whether you are dipping or watching, this is the place to be and be seen.
Just prior to noon, participants will gather on the beach behind the lounge to take a dip. Many participants will dress up in their craziest outfits to show their spirit and are sure to provide some entertainment.
The Flora-Bama will be providing the traditional New Year’s Day feast including; black-eyed peas, ham, cornbread, and a beverage for those who take the plunge.
For those who just can’t bear the cold water, food will be available for only $5 while it lasts. Long sleeved and short sleeved souvenir shirts will be available for purchase that day for $21 respectively.
After the dip, football fans can cheer for their favorite teams on one of our many HD televisions. Not a football fan? We have plenty of other things going on - listen to some of our great musicians or just relax and get a Bushwacker.
Take the challenge, come and get a little chilly with us on New Year’s Day.
NEW YEAR’S EVEThe night before the dip Flora-Bama will be throwing a huge New Year’s Eve Bash. New Years Eve tickets are now available at the Gift Shop or online, at florabama.com for only $40 or $45 at the door that day.
All partygoers will receive champagne splits and souvenirs, dinner buffet starting at 7pm followed by breakfast sandwiches after midnight.
There will be entertainment on three stages with Perdido Brothers & Shawna P & Earthfunk Tribe in the Main Room, Big Muddy & Mulligan Brothers in the Bama Dome, & Foxy Iguanas & Nick Sturms Band in the Tent.
