February 27, 2013, Orange Beach, Ala. (OBA)- Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce presents the Third Annual Perdido Springfest and Fair. The event begins Tuesday, April 2, and opens weekdays at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.

The five-day event benefits participating Escambia County Community Clubs. All Escambia County 4-H Clubs are welcome to have a booth at the event as well.

This exciting community event is hosted at Liberty Church’s Jim Downey Field at 2221 S. Blue Angel Parkway. There will be five days of full-blown family friendly fun; thrilling carnival rides & games by James Gang Amusements, concessions, a vendor marketplace and live entertainment.

In addition, there will be fun contests such as the Ever’mans Natural Foods “Fresh is Fabulous” Cooking Contests, photography, art, hula hoop, seed spitting, pie eating and more.

Perdido Springfest and Fair has been a very well attended event with approximately 5,500-6,000 attendees each year making it by far the largest family friendly event in west Escambia County and 2013 will be an even bigger year. Take advantage of the community bulletin board at the fair if you have a Vacation Bible School or Camp, for example, you would like event goers to know about. All advertisements must be approved in advance.

Admission and parking is free, thanks to our sponsors so come to the fair. Tickets for rides and unlimited ride wristbands will be sold at the event. Games, concessions and goods by vendors will all be offered as well, but you are welcome to just come and enjoy the entertainment and the sounds and sights of the fair.
