GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Learning for Life Golf Tournament will begin Friday with lunch at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
“It’s Coastal Baldwin Education Enrichment Foundation, CBEE, and we really need people to sign up as whole sponsors, we need people to sign teams up,” Baldwin County Board of Education President Angie Swiger said. “We really need people in the community involved with the golf tournament.”

DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) – An attorney for one of the men who was on Gravine Island when Summer Moody was shot said his client is relieved to hear the news there are no criminal charges planned for his client in connection to the shooting.

“It was just a deplorable situation.” After seizing 17 dogs Wednesday out of concern for their health, “they are all anemic, they all are just infested with fleas, they all emaciated. They are not in very good overall condition at all,” says Steve Williams with FurreverHomes Rescue.
After an exhaustive, 11-day investigation, authorities in Baldwin County will NOT charge the men in the shooting death of Summer Moody.

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The shooting on Gravine Island of a 17-year-old who died Wednesday was an accident and no charges will be filed against the three adults involved, but three teens with the victim will face additional charges, Baldwin County authorities said Thursday.

Charges of animal cruelty and neglect are being considered against a 76-year-old woman who was running a dog-breeding facility at her Elberta home, according to Elberta Police Chief Stan DeVane.

GULF SHORES, Alabama — One juvenile was arrested today after making a series of bomb threats to Gulf Shores schools that were determined to be a hoax.
Gulf Shores High and Gulf Shores Middle School received the threatening calls just after 11 a.m. Police responded to calls at both schools and determined the threats were a hoax.
